PACT

Volunteering with BTCV can be both great fun and really rewarding. Our workdays offer the opportunity to get out in the fresh air, improve your health, learn many new skills and make a contribution to our local heritage. You’ll get to discover some stunning parts of the Cornish countryside you never knew were there and you should have lots of FUN!

PACT is a programme of practical conservation tasks run every Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday.

It's open to anyone (young people must be accompanied by an adult) and you can come out as regularly or as rarely as you like. You don’t need any experience or to be super-fit – just enthusiasm. If you have any special requirements please contact us first before you come out.

You'll need to register with us (ring Betty on 01209 610610), then all you need to do is book a place on the BTCV minibus by phoning our contact number and arrive at the selected pick-up point at the time on the programme. We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day, but please bring:

  • a packed lunch
  • strong footwear, preferably steel toe-capped boots
  • waterproof clothing - essential!!
  • Some sites may be remote and exposed – so please ensure you bring plenty of warm clothing, including hat and gloves.

It is strongly recommended that your tetanus inoculation is up to date.

See our latest opportunities page for PACT days and pick-up points. If you would like to receive regular PACT information by email or post, please contact the office.
