Forest of Avon Tree Life Centre
The Tree Life Centre is a community tree nursery where volunteers collect seed from local native trees and wildflowers, cultivate them and sell them on or plant them out.
Volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds gain valuable work experience and training. This programme brings enormous benefits to individuals and to the natural environment and communities of the West of England.
The Tree Life Centre works along sustainable principles, we don't use any chemicals and souce materials locally.
The Centre can also supply teams to undertake tree planting, woodland management and other conservation tasks, at very reasonable rates.
Volunteer with us
We pride ourselves on recruiting volunteers from all walks of life, bringing the local community together and providing an opportunity to work together and learn new skills.
Volunteers with the Tree Life Centre are supported by the Project Officer or by Volunteer Officers who are trained to offer guidance on the best way to carry out the practical activities.
Volunteers can attend from Mon to Thurs 10am to 4.30pm. So get in touch and arrange to do a ‘taster day or half day’
We offer a pick up from central Bristol, there are several buses that pass near to the site and there’s a link from the Bristol Bath railway path.
