Task days run from the Haringey office at Railway Fields Local Nature Reserve every Tuesday and Thursday.
Working on local parks, nature reserves and greenspaces, we meet on site at 10am and usually finish around 3pm.

Local volunteers restored steps to provide safe access at The Paddock nature park, Tottenham in December.
The original steps were rotten and covered in vegetation, providing a tricky route for picnic goers. Bashing back plants, the volunteers replaced the rotten wood with reclaimed material, each step was then stabilised with rocks and wooden posts.
Some volunteers had never been involved with this sort of project, so it was especially rewarding for them.
BTCV helps keep Haringey a a safer and greener place to live. Working alongside the borough council, local 'friends of' and other community groups and the Metropolitan Police we encourage residents to make the most of their environment and green spaces.
The partners work together promoting all kinds of green-themed opportunities from cutting down rampant undergrowth to building bird boxes and even learning about medicinal uses of plants found on local green site walks.
Based at the Railway Fields Nature Reserve, BTCV staff host school visits to learn about the importance of the environment or have fun getting close to nature with bug hunts and pond dipping sessions.
They also work with schools, community groups and interested residents on practical projects of varying scales, offering advice and support or managing the tasks, providing tools, experience and relevant health and safety advice.
For those who prefer less physical exertion, officers organise fun school holiday events and a regular programme of walks, some with specialist guides, to explore the local environment and its history.
