Happy volunteers

Why not volunteer supporting adults with learning difficulties?

The project provides gardening/ food growing/ art & craft / baking sesssions for the participates who attend the group. Students attend for two days each week, learning about gardening in the classroom and outdoors. We also go on trips to see different gardens and nature reserves.

How to Volunteer

Volunteer Learning Mentor

Minimum 1 day a week for 3 months (Tues-Fri), 9.20am-3.30pm supporting students in the classroom and outdoors in a variety of tasks to enhance their learning and development.

Volunteer Officer

Minimum 3 days a week for 6 months (including Mondays), 9am-5pm

Your role will encompass the learning mentor position, with added responsibilities organising learning activities, publicity and admin.

Training will be offered in, for example, First Aid, leadership, equal opportunities.

What you need

No experience is necessary for either of these positions: if you have a friendly attitude, patience, understanding and a willingness to learn, we would love to hear from you!
