Information for schools

The Singleton Environment Centre aims to offer a variety of structured educational activity days, for 3-11 year olds, set around environmental and science topics that are closely linked to the guidance for Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum.

The Singleton Environment Centre is an ideal hands on learning environment close to central Ashford but in a tranquil environment of it's own.

The centre features a natural pond with purpose built dipping platform, perfect for inspecting the fascinating creatures that live in our pond.

Our workshop space is built from redundant shipping containers and converted into our classroom area. This provides a base and classroom facilities for visiting groups whilst the centres landscape and adjacent Ashford Community Woodland offer a multitude of trees, plants and wildlife including butterflies, moths, dragonflies, birds and mini-beasts.
