The Singleton Environment Centre is an exciting new development in Ashford which opened to the public in 2008.
Singleton Environment Centre provides a range of activities & information for people of all ages from both the local community and visitors to Ashford.
The eco-centre is run with sustainability at its core and is run by conservation charity BTCV in partnership with Ashford Borough Council.
Rooms in the centre are available for hire to businesses, community groups, voluntary and charity groups, and individuals.
Activities at the centre include environmental, conservation and educational activities, fitness classes, arts and entertainment and community events.
The centre provides an environmental education resources for local primary school visits and activities.
The Singleton Environment Centre has been built adjoining the Ashford Community Woodland, a green space designed and managed by the local community.
The Singleton Environment Centre boasts its own cafe & bistro. Footprints serves local and homemade produce.
Footprints can provide catering for any meeting or function held in the centre as well as operating the popular cafe which is open to the public serving Fairtrade teas and coffees, delicious homemade cakes and homecooked lunches.
