Slovak Wildlife Society, Slovakia

The Slovak Wildlife Society is a not-for-profit Anglo-Slovak initiative for the conservation of Carpathian wildlife. Our goal is to help ensure the long-term survival of endangered and vulnerable species such as the wolf, bear, lynx and chamois along with their habitats in Slovakia by finding sustainable solutions for co-existence with people.

Retezat National Park, Romania

Retezat National Park was created in 1935, the first park in Romania set up to preserve the beauty of the mountains and to protect rare and endemic plants. Altitude ranges from 794m to 2509m at the highest peak, and one can find beautiful galcial lakes, mountain streams, ravines and gorges.
