How to find us

The Singleton Environment Centre is conveniently located close to the Ashford town centre with excellent transport links by foot, cycle, road or rail whether you are traveling from the local area or further field.

The 'A' bus service runs every 10 minutes and connects the train station and town centre to Singleton.

On foot...or by cycle

The Singleton Environment Centre is easily accessible on foot from Highland Park, Singleton, Washford Farm, Bridewell, Stanhope and South Ashford.

We are on Wesley School Road on the Highland Park Estate, off Cuckoo Lane, just next to John Wesley Primary School.

By cycle, we are on national cycle route 18 which runs up Singleton Hill, Bucksford Lane and Chart Road behind the centre. There are also local cycle routes from the surrounding area and we have a cycle parking area in the car park.

By rail and bus...

Ashford International Station provides frequent links to the Kent Coast, East Sussex, Canterbury, Maidstone and London (Charing Cross, Waterloo, London Bridge and Victoria stations), as well as Eurostar services to the continent.

SouthEastern's new high speed service connects Ashford with London St Pancras in around 37 minutes!

There are fast, frequent bus services from the railway station and town centre via the A-Line bus route which runs every 10 minutes from the town centre and station to Singleton during the day .

From the station or town centre, take the A-Line (ASDA, Stanhope) service. The A-Line bus stops in Langley Drive (opposite Wesley School Road) are a short walk from the centre.

By road...

The centre is situated close to the A28 Ashford to Tenterden road and places it within easy reach of the M20 J9 or J10 and Ashford town centre.

The centre postcode is new and may not come up on some sat nav devices. Use TN23 5LF until you reach Cuckoo Lane.

From Ashford, follow the A28 (Chart Road) towards Tenterden, then from the A28 at the roundabout you will see Matalan on your left. Take the 1st exit for B2229 Brookfield Road signed to South Ashford.

Look out for the brown signs with a picture of a tree for the Singleton Environment Centre from B2229 Brookfield Road which will bring you straight to the centre.

At the traffic lights take the right filter lane and right into Knoll Lane.

Follow Knoll Lane and take the 5th turning on the right, after the bend, into Cuckoo Lane.

Then take the first right into Wesley School Road. Pass the school on your left and follow the road up and round to the left to the centre.

Drive in and follow the drive around to the left to the parking area. There is parking for cars, motorcycles and cycles in the grounds. Additional parking is available on the left of the main gates as you enter the site. There is free parking for around 35 vehicles on site.
