BTCV : Volunteer : Green Gym : Start a Green Gym : Partner with BTCV

The majority of Green Gym projects to date have been set up by BTCV in partnership with other organisations. These include local authorities, Primary Care Trusts, and health centres.

The partnership creates a business plan and secures funding for a Green Gym. Once this is in place BTCV staff will:

• set up the project
• organise and run the Green Gym sessions, and where appropriate
• support and train volunteers to create a sustainable community group

The partner organisations can help by advertising the project, recruiting participants to the scheme, and providing resources such as work sites or office space, as well as helping with advice on local issues.
