Making Travel Greener...

BTCV encourages more sustainable alternatives to flying and we're always delighted to hear of people who have tried it - they always have the best trips! See for yourself: Tim went to Germany by train; Tony went to Iceland by boat; and Gemma sent us this great report of her trip to Italy by train.

Key Travel, our travel partners are committed to helping you find the ideal way to travel, and will seek out non-flying options wherever possible. If you're keen to organise your own travel, then we highly recommend Seat 61 as an excellent starting point.

We also do our best to mitigate the inevitable impacts of any travel: for every booking on a BTCV International Conservation Holiday, BTCV makes a direct contribution to sustainable reforestation schemes.

In 2007 we supported volunteer tree planting programmes in community forests in the UK and from 2008 are supporting a community tree nursery run by our partners Greencare in Cameroon. Find out more...

Even Conservation Holidays start at home!
