BTCV Carbon Army – turning good words into good deeds...

There’s lots to be said about climate change. But more importantly, there’s lots to be done. BTCV Carbon Army is our practical, hands-on response to this global challenge.
In June we will particularly be focusing on food related projects but BTCV volunteers are in action daily tackling the impact of climate change through:
- Planting trees to lock up carbon
- Managing water courses to reduce flood risks
- Creating habitats for endangered native species.
Launched in November 2009 to coincide with the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, BTCV Carbon Army volunteers stacked up an amazing 6,000 days of practical climate change action during the time of the conference alone.
You can support the campaign by taking part in a practical project, downloading our FREE Grow Your Own Food guide, or by making a donation.
Phase 2: foodgrowing

We have just compiled a quick report looking back at what the results have been for the latest phase with a food growing focus. Read the report [1.3Mb pdf].
