BTCV Warwickshire
Here in Warwickshire & Coventry, BTCV helps volunteers actively protect and enhance the landscape and wildlife, whilst improving access to the countryside. Activities include woodland management, tree planting, hedgelaying, footpath construction and pond creation.
We meet on most Wednesdays and Thursdays and Sundays. Come along for a healthy day out, have some fun, meet new people and help the local environment. No previous experience is required as any necessary training will be given on the day.
There is no charge for joining in a day project and you can come along as little or often as you like. We provide free transport from our Leamington Spa office and, most importantly, tea and biscuits!
Hope to see you soon!
Practical Project Volunteer Officer Vacancies!
This is an ideal chance for anyone looking for a career in the environment. Volunteer Officers, or VOs, will assist with the management and organisation of practical projects. You will also be required to lead the midweek volunteers on day tasks. There will be opportunities to attend meetings & site visits, liaise with clients and the media and receive training. VOs can do a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Environmental Conservation if they wish.
You need to be 21 or over, have a full clean driving licence which is at least two years old. You also need to be able to commit to the post for a minimum of 6 months.
