Are you 16 - 25?

We are holding a number of events this year aimed specifically for 16 - 25 year olds.

We have funding for two types of project: "V Tasty" sessions and "Greenprints".

V Tasty

If you are within this age group you may find yourself becoming a "V Tasty" on your first day. All this means is that you have experienced a taster day volunteering with us (your first day). We will record you in our records as a "V Tasty", and ask you to fill in a feedback form at the end of your first day. Hopefully you will come back for more and see what else you can get out of volunteering with us.

Follow this link to find out more about how you can get involved and even get grants to start your own project. www.vinspired.com

Greenprints

GreenPrints uses the experience and expertise of five organisations to encourage more 16 to 25 year olds to volunteer their time and energy to improving green-spaces in their local communities:

  • SITA Trust and V, the youth volunteering charity fund the programme. SITA Trust has provided £1million and v provides and additional £1million through the Match Fund programme
  • SITA Trust and BTCV manage the overall programme
  • BTCV and The Wildlife Trusts support the practical delivery of the projects by providing mentor-support for volunteers
  • The BBC will include the programme within their national Breathing Places campaign
  • It is anticipated that within the two-year programme, up to 600 one or two day environmental projects will be delivered under the Events stream of the programme and around 120 longer term Flagship projects will be funded.

Hollybush Conservation Centre is home to BTCV Leeds

We undertake a wide range of conservation activities and provide lots of opportunities for volunteers. See the links to the right for details of activities and the chance to get involved.

Hollybush has a unique atmosphere. Our work standards are high but we have a relaxed and sociable approach which makes this a great place to be. Why not join us and discover it for yourself?

Not sure ? Why not look at our photos on Flickr and see what we get up to.
