BTCV Dorset

Welcome to BTCV Dorset. We co-ordinate many projects within Dorset offering a range of projects across the county, including nature conservation activities which anyone can get involved in, and specific projects for different groups in society.

Our office is based at Holton Lee, Poole.

We offer opportunities for people to gain new skills and experiences which in turn allows them to make a positive contribution to their local community. There are opportunities for training and accreditation, and for you to gather the right experience for a career in nature conservation or community work.

How you could get involved

• Midweek Conservation Groups - carry out practical conservation projects every Wednesday across the county. Meet the minibus at Dorchester train station or make your own way to the worksite.
• Training - BTCV Dorset can now offer FREE work based training courses to help you develop your skills and interests. You can either study with us during practical task days, or we may be able to find you suitable placements closer to home.
• Young People's Projects - we are now running Pre E2E and Big Break programmes for young people aged 14-19. These programmes improve skills in young people and give them greater chances of finding further training or employment that is right for them.
• Conservation Holidays - Weekend or Week long projects which are a great way to meet new friends, get away from day-to-day of life and, of course, get lots of conservation work done.
• Partnerships - BTCV works in partnership with many organisations within Dorset - find out how we could work with YOUR organisation
