Breathing Places

BBC Breathing Places joins forces with cities across the UK to launch Springwatch Festivals and a year of action for people and wildlife.

Be inspired by the BBC Springwatch programmes to join with friends and neighbours to make and care for a breathing place near you. It could be a park, allotments, nature reserve or neglected greenspace.

If you already have a Breathing Place you can register it on the Breathing Places website, tell the BBC what you're doing and what sort of wildlife have moved in this spring. BTCV can help you create and care for your Breathing Place

Why not 'do one thing' for local wildlife? Visit the BTCV volunteer page and have a day out with one of the thousands of groups throughout the UK. You could be making bird boxes, creating a wildlife garden, or planting trees.

Find a Breathing Place project near you and join other people to transform a space to a place where wildlife can thrive and people can relax.

BTCV is working with the Wildlife Trusts in partnership with the BBC to manage the Breathing Places for Communities campaign.
