BTCV FLOW Project

FLOW volunteers at the Cherry Wood Project, Bath

This innovative project gives 16-19 year olds from the Avon area the opportunity to learn new practical skills, gain qualifications, work outside, enjoy and learn about their environment. How it works: We pick you up at the Hippodrome in Bristol, then take you to site where we will be hedgelaying / tree planting / building a skate ramp / working on our allotment etc. You will learn carpentry, landscaping, teamwork, and health and safety skills. The course is 4 days a week for 3 months.

E-mail Alex Forster for more info or to arrange a taster day, or call Alex on 07766 421301.

Young Carers Nature Challenge Project

The Young Carers Nature Challenge Project works with Young Carers in Avon, Somerset & Wiltshire. We run weekend activities for children and young people with responsibility for looking after their parents. Activities are fun, but can be described as informal environmental education. Participants have to be registered Young Carers. Contact Sarah Horsell on 0117 929 1624 for more information.
