Roots and Boots Project

What is the project about?...

Young people aged 11-18 are invited to take part in team led projects to develop practical conservation and craft skills, team working skills and develop confidence and motivation. The project inspires them to become aware of the natural world through a variety of experiences.

Tree Planting


When is it happening?...

Weekly with different projects on different days – mainly during term time but with specific holiday and residential projects.

Where is it happening?...

St. Werburghs City Farm Boiling Wells Site.


Kettle


What will be happening?...

Young people will:

- Learn about the Boiling Wells site

- Learn new hands on skills

- Undertake woodcraft projects to design and make simple items

- Undertake practical projects to improve the Boiling Wells site

- Undertake the John Muir award which uniquely recognises their involvement
