BTCV Avon Green Gym

Meet new people... Learn new skills... Improve your health...and make a positive contribution to your local environment

Green Gym is a national project developed by BTCV. It aims to improve participants' physical and mental health as well as benefiting the environment and local communities, through practical conservation tasks like pond clearance, path construction, hay cutting and hedgelaying.

It's a great way to meet new friends and to improve the environment. Everyone is welcome, and the work is varied and tailored to individuals' needs. It's free to participate, and all tools, training and refreshments are provided.

You don't need to bring anything. Just wear old clothes and sturdy shoes. It is advisable that your tetanus injection is up to date.

There are four different Green Gyms in the Avon area. Each starts at 10am and finishes at 1pm:

  • Kensington Meadows Green Gym - every Tuesday in Bath.
  • Weston Woods Green Gym - every Wednesday in Weston-super-Mare
  • Three Brooks Green Gym - every Thursday in Bradley Stoke
  • Eastville Park Green Gym - every Friday in Bristol
