The Midweek Conservation Group
The Midweek Conservation Group is a group of volunteers who have a concern for the environment and a desire to improve it through practical action. Volunteers meet during the week and work on a variety of interesting sites and projects throughout Bristol, north Somerset, south Gloucestershire, Bath and the surrounding area.
All you need to do is arrive at the pick-up point at the time on the programme. We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day, but please bring:
- a packed lunch
- strong footwear, preferably steel toe-capped boots
- Waterproof clothing - essential!!
- Some sites may be remote and exposed - please also ensure you bring plenty of warm clothing, including hat and gloves
BTCV positively welcomes people from all parts of the community and is committed to equal opportunities. If you have any special requirements please contact us first before you come out.
It is strongly recommended that your tetanus inoculation is up to date.
See below for pick up points and for who to contact
The Weekend Conservation Group
The Weekend Conservation Group is very similar to the Midweek Group except it meets at weekends! This is a great way for those who are busy during the week to get involved in practical conservation, meet people and have some fun and fresh air.
All you need to do is arrive at the pick-up point at 9.30 am. All other aspects are identical to the Midweek Group above.
Pick up points
If our projects are in the Bath area, we can organise a Bath pick up. Please contact us at least two days before the task date.
