About BTCV Richmond

Richmond BTCV was established in 1992 to work in partnership with local individuals and groups to maintain and develop open spaces within the Borough, through practical conservation volunteer projects.
During this time, we have developed a strong volunteer base and achieved a great deal towards the long-term management and maintenance of the local green environment. Without the enthusiasm and commitment of volunteers this work would not be possible.
Aims and objectives
- Involve more people in practical environmental action
- Break down existing barriers to participation
- Work increasingly at a local level to create a sense of ownership and responsibility by the community of their local environment
- Ensure that training and education are key components of all activities
- Maintain relationships with local Borough partners ensuring a collaborative conservation approach
