Making a difference
If you’d like to try your hand at conservation, why not join our weekly task group?
No experience is necessary and no specialist equipment other than suitable work clothes and stout footwear. We provide the tools and the expertise and you provide the enthusiasm.
We run a programme of projects throughout the year, changing with the seasons. Meeting at Hastings train station at 9.30am, you would join a band of like-minded individuals setting off by mini bus to the site for the day.
You might be planting trees or coppicing, clearing out a pond or laying a new footpath. Whatever the job there will be an experienced leader to provide the necessary guidance on what the task involves and how best to use the tools required.
Working in the great outdoors, as part of a team, achieving tangible improvements to local green spaces, has an incredible feel-good-factor. Learning new skills boosts your confidence and self-esteem and your hard work benefits not only local wildlife but also the community.
Interested? There is no need to book a place. Just turn up ready for work and with lunch, look out for the BTCV mini bus and do your bit for the environment.
